Day 29 - Sept. 17

(38.09258, -122.82732) Shoreline Highway Tomales Bay to The Inn at the Tides, Bodega Bay

From my notes:
"Get free oysters, not vegan but free... Meet man biking from Coos Bay, home of Pre! to Santa Cruz. Find ripe blackberries everywhere. Stop to get dinner, meet professional photographer who does impromptu photo shoot of me running out of town. Windy!! Dazzling sunset, misty, rainbow of pastel colors. This is the place of my phone's area code but this is my first time here.
Night falls I listen to music, Cheryl Crow "Everyday is a Winding Road," comes on.
A car pulls over to ask if I'm okay, it's a woman who works at The Tides restaurant and hotel, same hotel I had called earlier about a room.
I get to town and stay at the hotel, comes with free bottle of wine. Do laundry in the sink, dry with blow dryer in the morning. Man at desk gives me bag of freebies and tells me "Wild" is one of his favorite movies, that I have to get the DVD. Wish I had a picture of my dirty feet after a week without a shower. Glad to be clean again."
